BlackRidge Tax was started by three experienced professionals who have spent decades working on complex tax issues at the highest level.
Before starting this firm, our founders built strong reputations in some of the toughest areas of tax work. One led a national tax resolution group, handling the most complex and high-stakes cases, including those with six- and seven-figure liabilities. Another combines experience in criminal defense litigation with deep tax law knowledge, holding an LLM in Taxation and over twenty years of experience with serious federal and state tax matters. The third is one of the most credentialed tax professionals in the country, with a J.D., MST, CPA, EA, and MBA, licensed in six states and admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. Their combined experience is well-suited to the challenging cases they take on.
Together, they recognized the same problem, each from their own perspective. The firm follows a clear approach: carefully selecting cases, creating custom strategies, and giving each case the attention it deserves. Every client is served with a focus on leverage, risk management, and results, not on handling a large number of cases.
Tax resolution, at scale, had become more transactional as it grew, with risks often placed into standard programs; no matter how complex their situations were, the issues often did not reflect that.
